20th Anniversary Life Science Lecture Series - Dr. Stephen Stern & Plants of McInnis Canyons NCA

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the congressional designation of McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area, the BLM and its partners invite you to join on a variety of events to celebrate and learn about the incredible resources in your NCA!


About the lecture

Stephen Stern is a Professor at Colorado Mesa University where he teaches numerous classes including introductory botany, plant systematics, plant identification, and grass taxonomy. He received his B.S from UNC-Asheville and a Ph.D. in Plant Biology from the University of Utah. He has been been working on a BLM-funded project to complete a floristic inventory of the McInnis Canyon National Conservation Area since 2013. Get ready to dive deep into the diverse plants of McInnis Canyons NCA!
