About the speaker

Tom Fresques is a Colorado Native, born in Denver and grew up in Grand Junction. He attended Colorado Mesa University (Mesa College) before transferring and obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Fish Biology from Colorado State University in 1992. Upon graduation, Tom worked for the Arizona Game & Fish Department for 6+ years before returning to Colorado in 2000 where he has worked for the BLM since. Tom enjoys any and all opportunities to spread the word about some of western Colorado’s more obscure and underappreciated (but really cool) fish species!
