Help us set-up the Gunnison Gorge tipi on May 5th - 6th during an overnight backpacking trip!

When: Thursday, May 5th

Where: Gunnison Gorge NCA; The Ute Trail

What: Every year, BLM River Rangers interact with thousands of visitors on the remote section of river through Gunnison Gorge Wilderness and rely on their riverside camp to do so. We need volunteers to help set-up a new tipi for the upcoming season. Volunteers will be hiking in the tipi equipment; although the poles are not too heavy, you will be carrying them through steep terrain and will hike a total of ~9 miles.

Please note: This trip is in a remote, backcountry setting. Participants will be expected to hike ~9 miles, sometimes through rough terrain; additionally, volunteer will be carrying large tipi poles that may be awkward.
