Sick of being stuck inside on Black Friday? Get outside with Colorado Canyons Association and the Bureau of Land Management for a community hike in Dominguez-Escalate National Conservation Area! Join us for our annual #OptOutside event on Friday, November 28th.
When: Friday, November 28th; 10am-2pm
Where: Bridgeport Trailhead; Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area
What: Get outside this Black Friday and be stewards of the land! Started by REI, CCA is encouraging folks to get outside and enjoy their public lands this Black Friday. This easy/moderate hike is approx. 2.4 miles to the scenic waterfall that feeds into the Gunnison River in Dominguez-Escalante NCA (~5 miles round trip).
Stick around after the hike for a parking lot community cook-out with CCA! Bring a side or dessert to share and we will provide drinks, hot dogs, and condiments. (veg options available upon request in registration form)
What to bring: Sturdy hiking boots/shoes, layers for winter hiking, sunscreen, water, leftover turkey and whatever else you need for an afternoon outside.
