Join CCA and UTMB as a volunteer to support the annual Desert RAT trail races out in McInnis Canyons NCA!


The Details

What: Desert RATS Trail Running Festival by UTMB has four unique distances, three days of racing and indescribable views of the desert. There is something for every runner. Enjoy views of the Colorado River as you race through flowy singletrack, climb up the mesa, and take in the vastness of the desert.

By signing up to volunteer with the CCA team for this race, we will both ensure the stewardship and mitigat ethe impact of such a large race on this landscape, but also UTMB’s Ironman Foundation will offer their support to CCA financially as a thank-you. We hope to see you out there!

All volunteers will receive a swag bag from UTMB for their participation, snacks, and special additional swag for those ambitiously wanting to sign-up for Trail Sweep positions.

When: Thursday, April 9th (race set-up and registration)- Sunday, April 12th; time slots vary

Where: McInnis Canyons NCA; exact meeting point TBD.

What to bring: trail/hiking shoes, layers for different weather conditions, and water (we will have a cooler to refill your bottles).

Please register for this event.

Please sign up for one of these slots to be automatically grouped with the CCA team. Otherwise include “Colorado Canyons Association” in your “affiliated group” when signing up independently for slots such as Trail Sweeps.
