Each year, CCA staff and education volunteers work with K-12 schools in Mesa, Delta and Montrose counties to introduce over 2,500 students to their National Conservation Areas through environmental education field trips that are specifically aligned with state curriculum standards.
Each year, CCA turns our National Conservation Areas into outdoor classrooms for thousands of students from Mesa, Delta, and Montrose counties! Local K-12 students have the opportunity to connect to the outdoors by learning about a variety of topics in a hands-on, exciting, and standards-based way.
