Recreation Inspired by the Outdoors

Recreation Inspired by the Outdoors (RIO) coalition is working to connect youth in the Orchard Mesa and Riverside communities to outdoor experiences, education, and employment opportunities.

Colorado Canyons Association supports the RIO coalition by lending our outdoor education and grassroots organizing experience.  CCA staff work with the coalition to engage the Riverside and Orchard Mesa communities in the planning of programs for their youth.  Drawing from our existing outdoor education programming CCA will pilot RIO programs to gauge how we can tailor programs to meet needs of these communities.
