Ruby-Horsethief River Clean-Up


CCA is excited to partner with Odell Brewing Co. for our annual Ruby-Horsethief Clean-Up! Over the course of 2 days, volunteers will travel 25 miles down the Colorado River, removing trash and debris from Ruby-Horsethief Canyon along the way. Come float the river and help us clean our waterways!


What you need to know:

When: Saturday, July 16th - Sunday, July 17th

Where: Ruby-Horsethief; we will be launching from the Loma boat ramp (no CPW permit is required) and taking out at the Westwater Ranger Station

What you need:

  • Your own watercraft

  • Shuttle transportation

  • Associated river equipment and camping gear

  • Personal protective equipment (gloves, glasses, etc.)

  • 1 breakfast, 2 lunches, snacks, and water for both days

What We’ll Bring:

  • Dinner for Saturday

  • Campsite/Overnight permits

  • Trash bags

  • Group river equipment including a toilet system, stoves, and cookware

  • Beer! Generously provided by Odell Brewing.
