We are lucky to have two new STaff members Joining CCA this month! PLease welcome Program Coordinator, Sara Brooker, and Americorps Vista, Alice Corcoran.
Sara Brooker - Program Coordinator
My name is Sara Brooker and I’m the new Program Coordinator with Colorado Canyons Association. I came to Colorado in 2013 from Tennessee to attend Colorado State University and earned a B.S. in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources. I’ve always been passionate about connecting people with nature and have focused my career on outdoor education and conservation work. I am very excited to be working with CCA and continuing to connect the community to the amazing NCAs we have in our backyard!
As the Program Coordinator, my focus will be on the volunteer program, membership development, and general outreach for the organization. We are excited to further develop our volunteer program to get more members of the community involved with what we do. I can’t wait to meet everyone who is a current volunteer, member, or partner with CCA! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you have about volunteering or becoming a member. I look forward to hearing from you!
Alice Corcoran - Americorps Vista
My name is Alice Corcoran, and I am the new VISTA for CCA working out of the Grand Junction Field Office. I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I've heard I have some pretty big shoes fill from Alex, the previous VISTA, but I'm up to the challenge!
A little about me - I moved here from Dallas, Texas just under a week ago, without ever having been to Colorado (well, I've driven through Denver but I'm told that doesn't count). I'm still getting oriented, and excited to explore all of the amazing public lands this area has! Before coming here, I spent some time teaching English in Ecuador, then took a marketing gig in Dallas. I am excited to be here combining my passions of the outdoors and education! I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone in this community!
