Join us in celebrating Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area’s 15th Anniversary, with CCA and the BLM on March 30th. Help us clean up the campsites and surrounding areas in Escalante Canyon.
When: Saturday, March 30th from 9:30 AM - 11:30am
Where: Meet at the Escalante Staging Area
What you’ll be doing: Escalante Canyon is a beautiful landscape with many great places to camp. With heavy visitation, however, many of the parking areas and campsites have become over-used and damaged. We’ll be removing unnecessary fire rings, cleaning up trash, and maintaining heavily-used areas, particularly around the Escalante staging area right off the highway. These efforts will benefit the health of the landscape, wildlife, and visitors alike!
Please bring: Snacks, water, work gloves, eye protection, long pants, and closed-toed shoes
We’ll provide: Trash bags, tools, and light refreshments
