Our Impact

CCA's land and river programs bring positive change to our community by offering unique, place-based experiential education to students and adults from diverse backgrounds from all over Colorado's western slope. CCA believes all people, regardless of socioeconomic background, should have the opportunity to experience our wild backyards and natural world. With our partners’ help, CCA is able to offer these programs to school districts and organizations at a discounted rate or for free! Over half of the students who participate in CCA’s programs qualify for free or reduced-lunch, and often come from families who do not have resources or time to actively engage on our public lands.

Additionally, CCA has a robust stewardship and outreach program. Through clean-ups, habitat restoration, and education, CCA is able to keep the NCAs accessible and pristine for all.

This was my first time rafting and I think I’ve fallen in love. The entire experience was amazing, it has made me appreciate the outdoors more. Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity.

I loved my field trip. I found a lizard. I saw a guy on a horse. I learned all about birds. Thank you for teaching us. It was fun!

I’ve had the opportunity to participate in a lot of CCA trips. I’ve enjoyed every single one of them. The people I meet are always amazing and interesting. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀.
